The Committee for Monitoring and Supervision of Electricity Affairs in Gumel Emirate wishes to sincerely commend the good people of Gumel Emirate for their patience and resilience over the years in matters relating to electricity supply. We are all witnesses to the long-standing challenges that have affected the steady provision of electricity to our homes, businesses, and institutions.

Alhamdulillah, by the will of Allah and through the joint efforts of the authorities concerned, there is now a massive and unprecedented improvement in electricity supply within Gumel and its surrounding areas. This development is already yielding tremendous benefits to our people—supporting business growth, easing domestic activities, improving education, and generally enhancing the quality of life in the Emirate.

In view of this significant progress, the Committee hereby calls on all residents, households, business owners, and institutions within Gumel Emirate to give their utmost cooperation and support to the officials of the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO). The most important way to demonstrate this cooperation is by ensuring the timely and regular payment of electricity bills. This is not just a duty but a community responsibility, as it guarantees the sustainability of the current system and encourages further improvement in service delivery for the benefit of all.
