Until his promotion, DIG Mohammed Usaini Gumel served with distinction as an Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of the Community Policing Project (CPP), Research and Planning Department at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. In this highly strategic role, he played a critical part in shaping policies and operational frameworks aimed at strengthening internal security and enhancing police–community relations across the country.
